Past:
In the past they used Punch Tape which was a machine that used holes to represent binary 0s and 1s. A paper was inserted into a computer and then the problem, equation or command was entered, this would be configured and then the error or command would be exited in the same way. This was incredibly slow and loud. There were no advantages of this product.
The Command Line was also used, a command was typed and then the error or command would happen. This loaded quickly but there were too many commands to remember and some times not enough.

Present:
Nowadays, we use operating systems such as MAC OS and WINDOWS and LENOX. Many people have different opinions about which is their favourite. We also use GUI which is the Gestural User Interface which is intuitive and uses WIMP (windows, icons, menus, pointers). The disadvantages are that it is slow compared to the Command Line.

Future:
In the future, we learned that people are trying to invent and, will hopefully open to the public, softwares that are gestures and that we can use in the same way we interact with everyday objects physically. The advantages of this is that it is easy and fun to use, but the disadvantages are that it might not have enough gestures. An example of this gestural devices is SIRI. SIRI stands for Speech Interpretation and Recognition Interface. Also a six-sense device has been invented that will work through a projecter:

We learned how to make Podcasts about the HCI in the past, present and future. To make a podcast we used audacity and download sound effects from sites such as: http://www.partnersinrhyme.com/
We also added background music and we changed the pitch and volume on our recorded voices. This is one of our many podcasts:

As a bit of a reward but still linked to SIRI and gestural interfaces, we watched
